Service Description

An introduction to the traditional Japanese art of ikebana. This workshop offers a gentle and respectful introduction to ikebana—the practice of arranging flowers with intention, balance, and harmony. Rooted in centuries-old tradition, ikebana places equal importance on line, space, and form, encouraging a quiet dialogue between nature and the arranger. Participants will be guided through foundational ikebana principles, learning how each stem is placed with purpose and how negative space allows the arrangement to breathe. For the first time you will receive a handmade ikebana vase made by Richie from Eden Ceramics. Guests receive a $50 flower credit to select seasonal materials from the kælé (jungle of blooms), chosen slowly and with care. As well as matcha (a Japanese tea drink) made by Jacquie from House of Berry. This session is suitable for beginners and those seeking a deeper appreciation of ikebana as a meditative and disciplined art form. What’s Included: - Entry for one person - Introduction to traditional ikebana principles - Handmade ikebana vase made by Richie from Eden Ceramic - Kenzan/flower frog provided - $50 flower credit to spend in-store - Access to seasonal flower selection - All tools and materials supplied - House of Berry matcha - Guided, traditional ikebana workshop - Option to purchase additional flower credit on the night *price increase due to the increase in quality of the provided ikebana vases (increased size and all handmade individually).
